AUTOMATIC PRO-SENSOR vs. HYDROSTATIC HAMMAR

AUTOMATIC PRO-SENSOR Capsule contains a component which dissolves when in contact with water and causes the firing pin to pierce the bottle. CO2 gas is then released into the air chamber. Indispensable if wearer cannot swim. Highly recommended in most circumstances because it provides optimum safety: it is instantly operational and provides buoyancy even if casualty is unconscious when falling overboard. Features a viewing window on lifejacket outer shell : green and red indicators give visual evidence of the firing head operational status at any time. Indispensable for all non-expert crew.

HYDROSTATIC HAMMAR When the firing head is immersed, the hydrostatic pressure acts on the water-sensitive membrane which triggers the firing mechanism and releases the CO2 into the air chamber. Recommended for heavy wave and water exposed activities, (regatta racing, bowman and deck racing crew, navigation in very difficult conditions…). Inflation performance can be restricted if firing mechanism is not immersed enough to generate sufficient hydrostatic pressure.

SAFETY PLUS: All lifejackets, including automatic models, are also systematically MANUAL. All lifejackets feature an oral inflation tube as top-up.
